This mattress is known as a ‘pillowtop mattress’ because it has an extra pillow layer sewn to the top of the linen portion of the mattress. This feature adds to the overall comfort and softness of the Tranquility Deluxe. A reinforced wire-edging can be found around the perimeter of the mattress. This, along with the Flex-Edge Border Supports help to provide edge-to-edge support to the surrounding edges of the mattress. This feature also provides a greater amount of support to side sleepers and helps to eliminate any future side-edge sagging. Additional support can be found along the middle section of the Tranquility Deluxe and is known as centre-third reinforcement. Chirospan Posturisation aids centre-third reinforcement and is a series of steel bands that work with the coils to create a superior tension-reinforced centre.
