Refurbishment works included the replacement of the existing accommodation with student area, kitchen and refurbished café and restaurant areas. The building was an existing 3 storey over basement concrete structure and the works involved the demolition of part of the existing floor slab at ground floor slab level and construction of a new access stairs from ground floor to basement level. The works also included the construction of a new structural steel mezzanine structure over the existing gym area, removal of redundant services, ceilings and floor coverings and replacement with new fit-out, M&E works in accordance with the Architects and M&E Consultants drawings and specifications.
